This month wasn't perfect. There were days I felt like I wasn't making any progress at all, and honestly, I was convinced the scale had decided to stop moving.

Then I looked at the numbers instead of my feelings.

✨ 9 pounds down this month, 5.24 inches shed.

✨ Over 40 pounds down from where I started.

✨ More than 15 inches gone since I started taking measurements.

The mirror doesn't always show me what everyone else seems to see, but the photos, measurements, and consistency remind me that change is happening, even when it feels slow.

This week I hit a milestone I wasn't expecting and finally sat down to compare photos and measurements.

Current progress:
🖤 36 pounds lost
🖤 Nearly 10 inches gone
🖤 More energy
🖤 Clothes fitting differently
🖤 A lot fewer excuses to avoid progress pictures

There are still days where I feel like nothing is changing, but looking back at where I started versus where I am now, it's hard to argue with the results.

Still not at the finish line, but I'm a whole lot closer than I was a few months ago.

Three months ago I started a journey of loosing weight.
Today, I’m down 21 lbs.
But honestly? The scale isn’t even the wildest part.

In the last 3 weeks alone, I’ve lost around 6 inches overall, and THAT is the part that finally hit me. Clothes fit different. My body feels different. I can actually see it now.

Some weeks the scale barely moved. Some days I felt bloated, inflamed, frustrated, impatient. But my body was still changing even when the number didn’t say much.

I think I’m finally learning that progress isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s inches. Sometimes it’s energy. Sometimes it’s realizing you don’t feel trapped in your own body anymore.
Still a long way to go, but for the first time in a long time, I'm finally getting comfortable in my own skin.

It’s kinda strange looking at comparison photos like this.

In 2023, I was roughly the same weight I’m at right now… but I do not look the same. At all.

The last 2.5 months I’ve dropped about 15 lbs, and comparing now to 2025, when I was at my highest, the difference in my face alone is actually insane.

Last year was rough. Between getting sick and dealing with injuries, I fell right back into old habits. I’ve always been someone who eats my way through stress, and while I wouldn’t say my relationship with food is bad… it’s definitely not the healthiest either.

Learning to walk away from a plate and say “I’m done” instead of just finishing it? Yeah… that’s been the hardest part to unlearn.

We’re heading into hiking season now and I’m actually excited to get moving again and see how my body handles it this time.

I’ve already noticed my back is a lot happier with less weight, it still has its moments, but my knee and hip, especially after last year, used to make even walking hard. Now everything just feels easier… lighter.

Excited to see what this summer version of me is capable of.
