What is Prevention Care:
Preventive care involves measures to maintain health and prevent disease, focusing on early detection and risk reduction through screenings, immunizations, healthy lifestyle choices, and regular checkups. Its goal is to stop illness before it starts or catch it early when treatment is more effective.

Key components of preventive care are;

Screenings & exams: Regular checkups, blood pressure/cholesterol checks, cancer screenings (mammograms, colonoscopies), and well-child/prenatal visits.

Immunizations: Vaccines to protect against serious infectious diseases (flu, COVID-19, measles).

Lifestyle management: Diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, and counseling for habits like smoking or substance use.

Medications: Preventive medications for conditions like high blood pressure, cholesterol, or stroke risk.

Counseling: Guidance on risk factors and maintaining long-term health.
