The The Portland Symphony Orchestra Children’s Chorus, directed by Matt Laberge and composed of terble voices, gives young singers ages 9-16 the opportunity to enhance and showcase their choral and vocal skills as they perform in professional musical settings. Whether it be in longstanding traditions such as The Magic of Christmas, select Classical/POPS!/Discovery concerts throughout the year, or performances in the greater community, the PSO Children’s Chorus has various opportunities to join alongside professional orchestral musicians, professional choirs, internationally renowned vocal soloists, and work under the baton of PSO conductor and Music Director, Eckart Preu, as they perform at the historic Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine, with the full Portland Symphony Orchestra. Auditions for the 2025-26 season will be held on Saturday, October 11 in Portland, Maine, and audition registration closes on Monday, October 6 at 9:00am.
