This color made me so happy today! 🥰💖

My long time client decided after quarantine to let her auburn hair go gray. I’ve been coloring it for her for close to 15 years. When I saw her in May she had about 2” of white/gray regrowth. I’ve been giving her highlights to pull out the artificial color on her ends and then toning it to match the gray. We are three appointments in and I think it has turned out SO gorgeous!! 👩🏻‍🦳🤍

Eight weeks ago I was told I couldn’t work. Never in my life did I think that could happen. Today I went back and what a different perspective I had on the drive there. I kept thinking “I get to go to work today”. I actually cried. What a crazy time this is. I don’t think anyone has not been affected by what we have experienced in the last two months. Today I am grateful for my FREEDOM, I am grateful for SALON LOFTS, I am grateful for my CLIENTS. Today was a good day. 🇺🇸

Yep, it’s official!

I consider myself an extroverted introvert. I love people, but I get my energy from being alone and having quiet time. Being with people takes a lot of energy for me. It’s essential that I take quiet time to recharge myself.

But there is nothing in the world like seeing my clients, whom I consider my friends and even my family, and sharing our lives with each other while I make them look good. There have been so many days when I would show up to work, and quite honestly just not have it in me to take on everyone else’s energy. I was already dealing with a lot myself. But then you show up; you’re so happy to see me; we talk about you and your struggles; sometimes we talk about mine too. And then you leave, more light hearted than when you left and looking your very best. And the glow that radiates from you at that moment makes me know I’m right where I need to be. And at the end of the day I leave, more light hearted than when I got there that morning. And having a heart so full, I settle into my car for a long drive home and thank God for you, my clients.

Stay well everyone! And know that as much as you can’t wait to see me, I feel the same, times 100!

As you may have heard, I will be out of the salon until further notice due to our current circumstances. It’s probably a good thing, as I would have been there for my clients, hazmat suit and all. But there’s a higher power in charge, not me, so I will take this time to reflect, recharge and be better than ever when I return. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support. It means everything. Take good care and we’ll see each other soon.
