A group of community members making a positive change. The Garden is located on the corner of Raritan and Terrill Roads, at 1451 Raritan Road.
Within the SPCG and with the support of the Township of Scotch Plains, our mission is to practice sustainability, include people of all backgrounds and physical limitations, and support community wellness initiatives through health awareness. We have established a community garden through the generosity of the County of Union, the Township of Scotch Plains, The Frazee Foundation, and Groundwork, Elizabeth, to benefit the communities of Scotch Plains and Fanwood. This Spring, 2017, we will begin our second year of growing produce with our volunteer Gardeners, for their own benefit, and for that of local food banks. Mission Statement: To grow produce and a positive sense of community, through gardening, education, events and to sow seeds for future generations to eat healthfully and locally.

Here’s to 250 years of freedom, growth, and putting down strong roots! May your gardens bloom as proudly as the stars and stripes, your harvests be plentiful, and your flowers brighten every corner of our community.
As we celebrate this historic milestone, we’re especially grateful to garden on the grounds of the historic Frazee House, where Revolutionary War troops once passed through on their journey toward America’s independence. It’s a wonderful reminder that the soil we tend today is part of our nation’s story.
Wishing all of our gardeners and community a safe, joyful, and blooming Independence Day. Happy 250th, America! 🌻🇺🇸
