We have been doing partial foils for .. forever 🙃

It was time to do the underneath. I wanted to match the density of blonde on the top - but in one session!

I did hairline details - mostly to amp up her pony tail look. All do the hair in that back section I tease, weaved and over directed.

I went heavy on the weave, I barely left any of the hair out between the foils to match the top.

She won’t need to redo the underneath for 6 months. It’s not about the roots underneath / it’s about how the top blonde blends into your ends!

GREY COVERAGE shouldn’t be boring ‼️ Here’s how I make it customizable

Everyone is always naturally a little lighter around their face- so I went up a level. I used Majirel 6N with 20 volume

For the rest of her hair I used Majirel 5N and 5.1 with 20 volume.

I took that same root color and pulled it down in panels to create a soft dimension.

Majirel now has an odor trapping technology, so it has less smell during your color service! You can find these products at SalonCentric

I glossed with dia light 7.31 with 9 volume

Nothings better than fresh blonde & a blowout 🤤 ASMR goodness

My girl @ wanted a bold money piece & contrast for summer 🍉👙☀️

Of course I used L'Oréal Professionnel AirLight Pro to give her a blowout. I switched the hair around the brush to give a beachy wave

The air light pro has infrared technology so it mimics natural evaporation! It creates no damage 🩵

She really wanted low maintenance because she was moving ☹️ so we wanted the placement to be lived in but also the contrast to be noticeable but minimal at the same time.

Truly so happy with the outcome!

I wish I knew this sooner ‼️ I use to fumble with boards now it’s my best friend 🤣

pro palette is super helpful during teasy lights. The end of the board helps push the tease up and out of the way. It has an anti-static surface. Made out of durable carbon fiber. I especially love that it does not have a handle!

Key tips:
- use your body for stability when you’re prepping the board with lightener
- hold your hair section and your least dominant hand so you’re ready to place it on top of the board
- never let go of the foil while you’re using the board. This way you don’t loose control

The pro palette is a great tool when you’re working on thicker sections to get saturation! The hard surface of the board is going to help with saturation. I always prep my foil before I placed The Hair on top of it with lighter. And the hair that’s hanging outside of the foil I pick up in pieces to saturate each piece individually.

Overtime permanent hair color can start to fade brassy. And that’s what we were working with! I gave her a realistic expectations and said I wasn’t sure how the permanent color was going to lift out. The 8.28 gave her the perfect neutral balance. It wasn’t too cool, but it wasn’t too warm! Just enough dimension to elevate her brunette vibe.
