Headed off to first grade! Eliza is very excited for her big brother but not so excited about her morning at daycare 🤣

POV: You keep your parents waiting 9 extra days to meet you, force an induction & then fly out before the epidural can kick in.

Fun fact: epidurals can take up to 20 minutes to kick in. Eliza came 15 minutes after they did mine so it never worked! Exactly two hours into our induction on Halloween little miss Eliza Grace decided to make her grand entrance weighing 7lbs 2oz & 20in long. She’s pretty perfect, pretty feisty & we’re pretty sure she’s going to be the one to give us a run for our money 🤣 Welcome to the world baby girl.

Happy birthday to Papa Leho! My best friend & the most supportive & wonderful dad a girl could ask for. Mike, the Spaws & I are so lucky to have you. You’re the BEST Papa to my children & an amazing father to my brother & me. Your giant heart & even bigger sense of humor are the foundation of our family & I hope when you’re old (like really old) I may continue to hold that legacy for all of us in your honor. You’re the kind of guy who makes this world a better place… even if your politics are trash & you still haven’t watched The Office yet. We love you!

Happy birthday to my first born spawn. Every day you amaze & inspire all who are lucky enough to know you. Your siblings are so blessed to have you to look up to & your parents are so proud to watch you grow into the most incredible young adult. 17 will be a great year for you!

Yesterday we celebrated Luca’s 6th birthday & today we celebrated the life of my Auntie San who passed away earlier this year. My Nana (pictured with Luca) was one of 7 & they didn’t have it easy growing up but despite the many heartbreaks & challenges she & her siblings endured, they all continued to support each other, have families, & find success in one form or another. It was a beautiful day by the beach reflecting on how we’re all connected because of these women who came before us. Each generation appreciating the lessons from the past but forging their own roads to happiness, health & success within themselves & for their own families. Because of the sacrifices made my my Nana, her sisters & my parents after them, my kids will never know the life Nana & her siblings did growing up. They’ll always know joy, happiness & having every need met & we are so grateful for that. My Nana was 6 or 7 years old when she lost her parents just a month apart. I can’t imagine if this little dude lost Mike & I so close together. Today we honored Auntie San because she & her siblings led beautiful lives despite the darkness that overtook them at such a young age & they’ve passed that down through the years to all of us who are lucky enough to cal them family 💜

Little dude is off to kindergarten! He hopped out of the car with confidence & never even looked back 😭 It’s ok. I’ll be ok. As one leaves the nest another will be here in just a few weeks 😭😭😭

We’ve built an amazing life together & it just keeps getting better. The most beautiful gift you’ve given me are our children & the relationships you have with each of them make my heart happy. But I swear to god, if you don’t get a vasectomy by the end of this year I’m going to hire someone off of Craig’s list to do it for you.

Congratulations to my baby niece who graduated from UMASS Amherst today! Couldn’t be more proud of you & all you’ve overcome to walk across that stage today. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
