If you are a client of mine you already know that being low-waste, eco-friendly and cruelty-free are top priority to me. It is one of the many reasons I chose to learn Sugaring over waxing!
One of the most common questions I get asked by new clients is "what is it made of?" - my favorite question to answer because there's literally no downside to the answer!
It is ONLY sugar, water and a tiny bit of lemon juice (some formulas like the one I use at Lexi Lynn Skin are even Organic and Fair Trade Certified) no chemicals, plastics, dyes, fragrance, etc. 🌱
Most sugarists use just a ball of sugar paste and a gloved hand - so that means no sticks or strips go to waste.* The ball of sugar paste can be used over and over on the same client until it's full of hair, unlike wax which is pulled off the skin once and then discarded for each strip of hair.
* My newest project at Lexi Lynn Skin is finding biodegradable gloves that fit and feel how I need them to, my current gloves take 5 years to degrade, but there are many gloves out there that take much less time. I have been trying out samples so that I can find the right glove and make the switch! Always finding new ways to reduce my carbon footprint!
