đ Want to do a Christian Fall Reset with me?
Over the summer, I let go of some of my normal structure. And while I loved the slower pace and extra time with my family, I also noticed something happening:
I started drifting.
Some of the habits that help me feel strong, grounded, close to God, and intentional with my days started slipping.
And as I shared on the latest episodes of Honoring My Temple, we can easily drift out of good habitsâbut we donât drift into them.
So I decided to reset.
I chose 4 simple daily practices + 4 weekly practices that Iâm intentionally building my days and weeks around this fall.
Nothing extreme. Just a simple structure to help me take care of my body, prioritize my relationship with God, continue growing, invest in the people around me, and make better use of the days Heâs given me.
Because these little choices add up.
Imagine who you could become through months and years of small, faithful choices with God at the center.

I canât believe this little book has climbed into roughly the top 0.1% of all books on Amazon. đĽšđ¤
But even more meaningful to me are the messages Iâve received from women who are beginning to look at food, health, and their bodies differently.
Honoring My Temple was written for the woman who knows how she wants to eatâbut struggles to consistently follow through.
For 14 days, we bring God directly into that struggle. We talk about emotional eating, cravings, self-control, renewing your mind, breaking unhealthy habits, choosing foods that nourish your body, and learning to rely on the Holy Spirit instead of willpower alone. BOOK Honoring My Temple-2.pdf
Because your health journey can be about so much more than losing weight.
It can be an opportunity to grow in wisdom.
To practice self-discipline.
To steward your body well.
And to honor God in the small choices you make every day. đ¤

5 Biblical Ways to Beat Laziness
1. Stop letting your feelings make the decision.
You wonât always feel motivated. Decide what needs to be doneâand follow through whether you feel like it or not.
đ Proverbs 13:4
2. Stop putting off what you can start today.
You donât have to accomplish everything right now. Just take the first step. Starting is often the hardest part.
đ Proverbs 6:9
3. Remember WHO youâre doing it for.
Your work. Your health. Your home. Your calling. Whatever God has placed in front of you, do it wholeheartedlyâas unto Him.
đ Colossians 3:23
4. Build structure so you donât have to rely on motivation.
Set the alarm. Make the plan. Get in the Word. Move your body. Decide ahead of time what mattersâand build your days around it.
đ Ephesians 5:15â16
5. Be faithful with what God has put in your hands.
Your time, gifts, opportunitiesâand yes, even your bodyâare things youâve been entrusted to steward well. Donât bury them. Use them faithfully.
đ Matthew 25:21
Sometimes weâre waiting to feel motivated when what we really need is to practice discipline.
And one important reminder: rest is not laziness. Jesus rested too. â¤ď¸
Thereâs a difference between intentionally resting because you need it and repeatedly avoiding what you know needs to be done.
Motivation comes and goes. Faithfulness keeps showing up. đđŞ

Make these verses the foundation of your food choices â your motivation for eating, your relationship with food, your health, and your fitness.
When Godâs Word becomes your guide, real change happens. đżâ¨
⸝
1ď¸âŁ 2 Timothy 1:7
âFor God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline.â
Do you have power over food, or does food have power over you?
Every choice you make can reflect Godâs gift of self-discipline and His design for your health.
⸝
2ď¸âŁ 1 Corinthians 10:23
âEverything is permissible,â but not everything is beneficial.
Just because you can eat it doesnât mean you should.
Learn to choose whatâs beneficial with every bite â for your body, your mind, and your spirit.
⸝
3ď¸âŁ 1 Corinthians 6:12
âI will not be mastered by anything.â
If youâve ever thought, âI canât stop eating these,â or âI just canât help myself,â pause and remember:
Jesus came to bring freedom. Donât let food have mastery over you.
⸝
4ď¸âŁ 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
âYour body is a temple of the Holy Spirit⌠therefore honor God with your bodies.â
Your health is not about vanity â itâs about worship.
Every time you nourish your body with God-given foods or move it with exercise, youâre honoring Him.
⸝
When your motivation, choices, and faith align, youâll no longer feel trapped by food. Youâll walk in freedom â caring for your body the way God designed. â¨

The Bible doesnât say to work out.
It doesnât tell us to lift weights, follow a program, or eat a certain way.
But it does tell us to be wise.
To choose what is beneficial.
To honor God with our bodies.
To live with self-discipline.
To reflect Christ in everything we do.
And that includes how we care for our health.
Because Scripture doesnât give us a rulebook for every situation in modern lifeâ
it gives us wisdom.
Wisdom that weâre called to apply to:
how we think
how we respond
how we spend our time
the habits we form
and yes⌠how we care for our bodies.
Your health journey isnât separate from your spiritual life.
Itâs part of it.
Every workout.
Every meal.
Every choice.
Is an opportunity to act in His nameâ
to practice discipline, gratitude, and stewardship.
This isnât about obsession.
Itâs not about perfection.
Itâs about learning to live wiselyâŚ
in every area of your life.
