An identity that each of us in this picture carry proudly, quietly, loudly, and unapologetically.

The Asian American experience can be quietly difficult. It feels like navigating life in the in-between of belonging. Either being underrepresented, misrepresented, misunderstood, or an afterthought. So many of our experiences and identities are often placed into one box, when in reality we are so much more than that. Our stories are nuanced, layered, and deeply diverse.

I really adore this shoot because I wanted celebrate Asian skin in all the ways it exists naturally and beautifully. Asian skin is not one thing. We are not to be boxed in. We carry so many different tones, undertones, textures, features, ethnic backgrounds, and stories within our community, and I loved that this shoot captured a small glimpse of that diversity.

This month is about celebrating who we are, where we come from, and the stories we carry with us. Our experiences, cultures, families, and voices deserve space to be seen and celebrated too.

April in frames. It’s been such a fun start to spring. Some ups and downs, unexpected turns but very exciting beginnings. A variety of facials, lash lifts, Procell and more. April was a great reminder to slow down, be in tuned with what your body is communicating and it is ok to rest. Rest is essential. This is one for the books. Thank you all for your continued support ❤️

Don’t forget to wish your Cambodian, Laos, and Thai friends a Happy New Year! 🇰🇭 Being Cambodian is one of the most important parts of my identity and it’s a part of everything that I do. The older I get the more I cherish moments like this.
