That's always the goal.

Every business has a beginning. Ours started with some pretty incredible women. 🤍

When I took over this salon, I wasn't starting with four blank walls.

Barb entrusted me with the space that would become Hairtopia.

And not long after, I was incredibly fortunate to "adopt" a little salon family of four senior stylists when the salon they had worked at together down the street closed.

And when I say salon family, I mean it.

They came with years and years of experience, loyal guests, friendships, routines, plenty of personality 😂 and a salon rhythm that was already incredibly well established.

For a brand-new salon owner trying to figure out what the heck she was doing, I don't think I could have asked for a better foundation.

Over the last few years, they've watched Hairtopia grow and change. They've watched new stylists come and go. They've watched me dream up new ideas, build systems, create Hairtopia Academy and slowly figure out exactly what I want this little salon to become.

And through all of it, they've been here.

Their loyalty, experience and willingness to share this space with me have been a much bigger part of the Hairtopia story than I probably say often enough.

So before we start introducing you to all of the professionals who make up Hairtopia today, it felt right to start here.

With some of the women who helped us begin.

A good consultation isn't about expecting you to know professional terminology.

It's about us asking the right questions so we understand what you're actually trying to achieve.

We look at your inspiration, your current hair, your lifestyle, your maintenance expectations and what you realistically do with your hair every morning.

Then we build the plan.

Because our job isn't simply to perform a service.

Our job is to understand what you're asking for—even when you don't know how to say it in hairdresser.

That's part of the Hairtopia guest experience.

When Hairtopia was first imagined, I wasn't thinking about paint colors, furniture, or how many chairs we'd have.

I kept coming back to one question.

"How do I want people to feel when they walk through our doors?"

I wanted guests to feel welcome.
I wanted professionals to feel supported.
I wanted education to be part of everyday life.
I wanted kindness and professionalism to exist together.

Looking around the salon today, I realize that's what Hairtopia has become.

Yes, we create beautiful hair.

But what matters most is how people feel while they're here.

The conversations.
The laughter.
The trust.
The quiet moments at the shampoo bowl.
The excitement of learning something new.

That's the experience we're committed to creating every single day.
