Hi everyone! Just popping by to let you know I’m over half way through my pregnancy and my third trimester is right around the corner. I will only be prebooking appointments until December 1st, after that I will be booking on a weekly basis until I know the exact date my maternity leave will begin.

To my clients — Due to the Covid closure my work space has been up in the air and I have been essentially unavailable since March. However as of next week I’ll be accepting appointments in my new hair home at The Hairport; located at 114 Pennsylvania Ave Westminster MD 21157. ⭐️ Update on reopening ⭐️

Today salons have been able to resume business at 50% capacity! Although Tracey Does Hair won’t be officially open until June 2nd, please read these new policies carefully before your return to my chair.

The Executive Order ONLY allows the performance of hair services, blow dry services, and barber shops to operate. It specifically does *NOT* allow nail services, esthetic services and other non-hair services at this time.

* What the above means for us: At this time I will not be able to offer lash, brow, or waxing services. (😭)

* Services must be by appointment only. Walk-ins can NOT be taken at this time.

* Only the guest being serviced is permitted in the building. Please do not bring children or friends to your appointment. They will be asked to return to the car.

* At this time I will not be servicing children under the age of 13 without written parental consent on the service being provided since they can not be accompanied by a parent.

* Everyone MUST wear a mask inside the salon. I will not be able to provide masks to clients, you will need to bring your own. Please wear a mask that can tuck behind your ears, I can not cut or color around a mask if it’s covering your hair.

* I will be accommodating high risk/elderly clients outside of normal business hours. Please contact me directly if you feel you need special accommodations.

* Please arrive 3 to 5 minutes prior to your appointment unless otherwise noted. Upon arriving remain in your car, and text or call me at (410) 935-1475. When my space is fully sanitized and ready I will let you know to come in.

* Upon entering the salon you will be offered instant hand sanitizer.

* Wine, glasses of ice, and coffee will not be served at this time. I will still be serving mini bottled waters and mini sodas.

* Purses and other personal belongings will not be permitted in. Wallet and keys only please to limit surface contact.

* I will not be using Square at this time for card transactions because of the client contact with my phone. However I am still accepting cash payments and now offer Venmo, Zelle, Cash App and PayPal for digital payments.

* Magazine enjoyment will not be provided at this moment for your safety, however you’re welcome to bring a book or magazine of your own.

* I will be blocking off 45 minutes between every appointment to allow me to thoroughly clean and disinfect every tool and surface between clients. Safety is my priority so this means I will be taking fewer appointments per day, but adding additional hours and days to accommodate you.

Info about Tracey Does Hair’s reopening:

I’m unable to accept new appointments until June 2nd or later, if you are using my online booking system please book for a date in June. I had to have an unexpected a medical procedure done this week and am resting per Dr’s orders until 5/28.

I am working diligently to make my way through a hefty list of clients I need to reschedule that were directly impacted by the initial closure in March. If you had an appointment in the last two weeks of March that was cancelled due to COVID-19 please know you’re at the top of my list for reopening.

I was made aware of our reopening when the rest of the state was, and have since been working to make this reopening as smooth as possible. Supply stores have been closed, and I do not have enough color supplies to accommodate the influx of appointments I am receiving requests for at this very moment. My supply order is being processed though, and I am using this down time to acquaint myself with our new rules and regulations before I return.

I hope you understand and I am looking forward to seeing you in June when I am prepared and have the supplies I need to do great hair safely!
