So, I’ve been really quite this summer, I know I know! However, big things have been happening! We’re at the final step and I can’t believe it’s finally happening! Keep your eyes out for updates!!!

“IT’S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!” And, somehow I have a second grader! We’ve had a wonderful week getting ready for today starting with a home visit from teachers, 2 days off with daddy, helping at school to get stuff ready yesterday and a very excited girl this morning!

Ok y’all! My little hometown is home to the coolest little oddities shop, Appalachian Oddities LLC! For years I’ve wanted to go in, and this trip home my aunt and I made a trip and I’m so glad we did! If you are into anything witchy or spooky you HAVE to check them out!

These themed rooms that you can tour are all interactive and so well designed! Each room or display also has a card for you to read about what it is (purposefully left those out of my post!), plus the front room is a gift shop area and the have an art room too! The owner even offers private tarot readings, which I will be doing on my next trip home, without a doubt! Please, if you are ever in the Weston, WV area, please, check them out!

Vacation wrap up part 2! Lots of family time, pool days and pups! 4-wheeler riding, buggy rides, swigging in a tree dad (Shane Hawkins) planted when he was a kid, learning how to throw darts and fixing Nonna’s steps with Aunt Mel! I swear we didn’t stop for a minute, but that’s how we love it! There is never enough time when we go back to visit, 2 weeks goes by way too fast!

Vacation wrap up part 1! 6am flights are hard, but worth it when we get mountain air and lots of love on the other side of a long travel day! It’s been 2 years since we’ve touched West Virginia soil, and man we missed our Mountain Mama!

in WV because you can’t in TX, iykyk, ignore the fact that I’m allergic to the grass and have been scratching my legs! Used this trip to connect back with the earth and find some clarity in some things that have been heavy on my mind and heart. There is something about the mountains that just brings peace to the soul!

Flipping our way into summer! So proud of this kid and all she’s achieved this year. Yesterday wrapped up the 2025-2026 school year, and we are so ready for summer! Bring on our trip to WV, pool days and play dates because we are ready for it all!! ☀️

New nails 💅, a good book 📖, and the windows down. That’s my kind of Friday afternoon!

8 pictures for 8 years!! We’ve officially made it another year around the sun with this crazy, wild, strong willed and sass filled girl! This year has been wild, with swim, basketball, student council and futsal, not to mention all the amazing friends she’s made along the way! She makes everyday something new and definitely an adventure! Happy Birthday girlfriend!
