‼️ Care between fills is extremely important. Some helpful tips to remember are these:

1. The less makeup products the better. If it colors, conceals, or contours around the area a mask would go on our faces, it will most likely transfer to the lashes. It's easier to get away with foundations/concealer as long as it's not an oil based product and is not heavily applied. (This will effect the taping process though since the under eye is where both concealer and the tape are applied). Any eyeshadows or eyeliners WILL transfer. Baths help, but there's never a guarantee that all will be 100%.

2. Sleeping on our backs can help because there's no friction against our pillowcases. Sleeping on our sides can minimize the shedding area to one favored side, but it will likely be cause to a problem area. Silk pillow cases also help to reduce the friction that causes fallout.

3. Oils of any kind, natural or applied, WILL effect retention. If you have an oily skin type, find yourself more oily recently, or apply makeup/skincare that leaves a glossy moisturized surface, you will more likely struggle with retention. Oil is the biggest cause to the main chemical in the adhesive to break down. Speaking to a professional aesthetician about what works for vou and keeping an eye on the products we use could help these situations.

4. Steam is a sneaky cause to fallout, as well! Hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, sweating, or humid weather are major contributors to bad retention.

Everyone's retention will vary based on individual situations and routines. Some lashes hold the extension better than others because of the integrity of the natural lashes themselves, or weather changes throughout the year. But all can be reduced through conversations with your trusted lash artist ✨
