🍂🌾 OCTOBER BUSINESS OF THE MONTH — BUENA HILL HOMESTEAD 🌾🍂
This month's Business of the Month is different.
This one is personal. 🤎
For October, Healing Hands of Estacio is taking you beyond the SouthCoast and into the beautiful countryside of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, to a place I have personally returned to for three years in a row:
✨ Buena Hill Homestead.
Why would Healing Hands choose a Pennsylvania homestead?
Because wellness doesn't begin and end on my massage table.
Sometimes wellness is silence.
Sometimes it's fresh country air.
Sometimes it's sitting around a fire with people you love.
Sometimes it's turning off the screens.
Sometimes it's prayer.
Sometimes it's waking up and hearing the distant clop...clop...clop of a horse-drawn buggy traveling down a country road.
And sometimes healing begins when life becomes quiet enough for us to finally hear ourselves again.
Buena Hill has become that place for me.
Throughout October, I'm taking you there with me.
We're going to talk about hospitality, family, faith, nature, rest, grounding, community, resilience and gratitude.
We'll meet Ruthy and Christian.
We'll explore the farm.
We'll meet the animals.
We'll venture into Amish Country.
We'll visit some of my favorite places throughout Lancaster County.
But most importantly, we're going to talk about something I believe many of us desperately need:
THE RESET.
Welcome to October.
Welcome to Buena Hill. 🤎🌾

🎃 Healing Hands Halloween 2026
Where Community & Magic Come Together.
💜✨ YOUR BODY HAS BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING… ARE YOU LISTENING? ✨💜
We take care of the job.
The family.
The house.
The appointments.
The errands.
The never-ending to-do list.
And somewhere along the way, we put ourselves at the very bottom of that list.
But your body keeps score.
That neck that suddenly doesn't want to turn quite as easily. Those shoulders practically touching your ears. The back that's been complaining all week. The muscles that feel like they haven't truly relaxed in months.
Sometimes your body isn't asking you to push harder.
It's asking you to STOP. BREATHE. And take care of YOU. 💆♀️✨
At Healing Hands of Estacio, massage isn't about getting you on the table, watching the clock and sending you back out the door.
Your session is about you.
🌿 What is your body telling us?
💆 Where are you holding tension?
✨ Do you need focused therapeutic work?
😌 Do you simply need to shut the world out and RELAX?
And then there's the Healing Hands experience itself…
Step away from ordinary and into one of our immersive environments, where sight, sound, atmosphere and therapeutic touch come together to create something completely different from the traditional massage experience.
Sometimes you need therapeutic work.
Sometimes you need relaxation.
And sometimes you just need a place where, for an hour or two, nobody needs anything from you.
That's okay, too. 💜
So consider this your reminder:
You are allowed to take care of yourself BEFORE your body forces you to.
Your body works hard for you every single day.
Maybe it's time to return the favor. ✨

✨ Calm the Body. Quiet the Pressure. Restore Balance. ✨
High blood pressure is often called the “silent condition” because many people live with it for years without realizing how deeply stress and tension are affecting the body. When life moves fast and the nervous system stays in a constant state of alertness, the body can remain stuck in fight-or-flight mode, placing extra strain on the heart and circulatory system.
While Reiki is not a replacement for medical care, many people turn to this gentle healing practice as a supportive complement to their wellness routine.
Through calming energy work, Susan Drayton helps guide the body into a deeply relaxed state where the nervous system can slow down and the body can begin to rebalance.
During a Reiki session, many clients with high stress and elevated blood pressure report experiencing:
💫 A profound sense of calm and relaxation
💫 Reduced stress and emotional tension
💫 Slower breathing and a quieter mind
💫 Improved circulation and body awareness
💫 A feeling of grounding and inner balance
When the body enters a relaxed state, the heart doesn’t have to work as hard. This is why relaxation-based therapies like Reiki can be a beautiful addition to a broader wellness approach focused on stress reduction and nervous system balance.
At Healing Hands of Estacio, Susan creates a peaceful space where clients can step away from daily pressures and allow their body the opportunity to slow down, reset, and restore calm.
Sometimes healing begins not with doing more…
but with allowing the body to relax.
📱 Reiki sessions with Susan Drayton are by appointment only.
To schedule a session, please text Susan directly at 508-415-6516.

🪷💙 BEHIND RESTING LOTUS IS A WOMAN WHO TOOK AN EXPERIENCE… AND TURNED IT INTO SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL FOR OTHERS. 💙🪷
Throughout September, we've shown you the retreat.
We've talked about Tiverton.
We've shared the artwork, Reiki, Rhode Island adventures and the importance of REST.
But today, we want to bring the spotlight back to the woman behind it all:
✨ DESIREE COSTA. ✨
Desiree's journey to Resting Lotus LLC wasn't simply:
“I think I'll open an Airbnb.”
There was a personal story behind the dream.
While recovering from a car accident, Desiree experienced how the atmosphere of
Tiverton offered her a sense of rest during a difficult chapter.
And somewhere along the way, a thought began growing…
💭 What if I could create a space where other people could step away from their own hustle and bustle, too?
That idea became Resting Lotus.
But bringing it to life meant stepping outside her comfort zone.
🔨 Remodeling.
🎨 Curating the space.
🛋️ Decorating.
💡 Making decisions.
🤔 Figuring things out as she went.
And leaning on the encouragement and hands-on support of friends and family.
The result wasn't only a business.
Desiree says the journey helped her recognize and gain confidence in her ability to do NEW things. 💪
And THAT may be one of our favorite parts of her story.
Sometimes you don't discover what you're capable of until you give yourself permission to TRY.
Today, Desiree gets to open the doors to something she created and share the beauty of Rhode Island with others.
And throughout this month, we've had the privilege of sharing HER story with all of YOU. 💙
Here's to the dreamers who wonder…
“Could I actually do this?”
Sometimes the answer is waiting on the other side of beginning. 🪷
