This was my client’s first time with lip filler, and her goal was simple: a little more definition to the upper lip…not a new mouth.

I’ve actually been working with her gradually on full-facial balancing, building support through the cheek and midface first. At this visit, she decided in the moment to add a little lip filler, and it was amazing how much this small addition helped bring everything together!🤩👄

We used 0.5 mL, with most placed strategically in the upper lip and a small amount in the lower lip for balance and subtle fullness without changing its shape.

For mature lips, treatment is often less about adding volume and more about understanding lip architecture, border definition, tissue changes, and proportion.

Subtle can still make a difference.

You’re allowed to go after the thing that keeps pulling at you, even if it’s inconvenient, scary, or nobody else quite gets it yet.

You’re allowed to choose yourself.
You’re allowed to go for it.
And you’re allowed to do it without asking permission. 🤍

The thing that has surprised me most about owning a business in a small town?

It’s not what I’ve learned about business. It’s what I’ve learned about people.

When I started Radiance Aesthetics almost two years ago, I had my little circle here, but honestly, I lived in my own world. If it didn’t involve my kids or a sporting event, there’s a pretty good chance I didn’t know you. 😂

Then I started a business…and little by little, my world got bigger. Somewhere along the way, I realized that one of the most meaningful things this business has given me has nothing to do with numbers.

It’s community.

I’ve met realtors, photographers, hair stylists, lawyers, contractors, fitness professionals, IT specialists, stay-at-home heroes, medical professionals, other small-business owners… and so many other people I never would have crossed paths with otherwise. Some have become clients, some collaborators, some people I can refer to, and some who have become genuine friends.

It’s knowing who to call when I need something. It’s being able to connect someone I know with someone I trust. It’s having people in my corner, and hopefully being someone they know they can count on, too.

There’s something really special about knowing people, being known, and realizing just how much we can do for one another.

I’m genuinely so grateful for the community I’ve found here and for the roots I’ve been able to put down through this business. 🤍
