If you are suffering from dry, winter skin this MIGHT be the solution for you.
🐌"Slugging" refers to applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly or aquaphor at the end of your nighttime skincare routine. I know, sounds crazy? But this has saved my skin this winter.
How to "slug" correctly:
1. Double cleanse & lightly exfoliate
2. Tone & apply nightly serums
3. Apply nightly moisturizer and let settle for a few minutes
4. Lightly apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly.
Esthetician Tips:
-Do NOT use anything harsher than a physical exfoliant, locking in harsher ingredients can make them more aggressive than intended
-Spot test on your neck or jawline first, especially if you have acne prone skin
-If your whole face isn't super dry you can spot treat certain areas like under eyes and flaky areas
-If your worried about getting residue in your hair use a satin hair wrap(it's better for your hair too:)

We know some folks have already heard the news.....but we're taking reservations for skincare again! 🙌
It seems like it's been forever, but we're so excited to be offering facials again! Our first official day is set for October 7th, and we'll be following all guidelines and recommendations by the CT health department and CDC as always to ensure the safety of both clients and staff.
Online booking will be available starting this weekend, and appointments can also be made by giving us a call.
We'll make an official announcement via email newsletter soon, and we can't wait to have you guys back and share with you all the exciting things we have in store in the coming months! 😁

😩 we've been getting so many messages like this one from about when we'll be doing facials again - we're really anxious to start offering them again, but unfortunately as of right now given the indefinite phase 3 pause, we don't have a targeted date just yet.
Sidewalk facials definitely sound like they'd be a big hit though, so be on the lookout for that 😆
In the meantime, you can always do an at-home facial with our face masks, which will also be coming to this fall!

We've been so happy that we've started seeing you all again with our phased reopening! 😁
Our schedules on the site, Google, and Yelp are now updated which will be in place as we gradually introduce more services and appointment times.

We're all waiting for our shop facials 💆♀️ to be offered again, but in the meantime, our at-home facial masks are the next best thing!
Our clay based masks are:
-artificial fragrance free
-don't contain any nasty "filler" ingredients (only the good stuff 👍)
-designed by our estheticians and the actual masks we use in our shop facials
In the meantime, we are taking appointments for massage at the shop starting this Friday the 26th - give us a call, shoot us an email, book online, or send a carrier pigeon with a note to make an appointment 😉

Hi all!
We're excited to be reopening, and have some updates on our new procedures + policies:
1. When we targeted a 6/26 reopening date, we contacted the state, and the guidance we got for personal services was to use common sense discretion - the guidelines outlined for Phase 2 are a bit ambiguous.
2. After speaking with more state reps in the past few days, we have decided to err on the side of caution, and will only offer massage therapy services starting off on the 26th and the weeks after, with facials to be introduced later on.
3. We will have reduced hours, longer buffers + sanitation, proper protection for clients and employees as we ease into reopening.
In the meantime, we will be announcing shortly new skincare initiatives that we will be offering before we fully introduce facials.
Thanks for understanding, and we can't wait to see you all again very soon!
