This Memorial Day weekend, all of the typical festivities have had to make adjustments due to the rainy weather we are having here in Connecticut. Parades and family cookouts, pool openings and backyard games all adjusting or unable to move forward.
No matter the weather, may we pause on this day to hold space for remembrance. For the lives that were cut short. For families who carry that deep loss. For the stories that live on through those left behind. May we offer a moment of gratitude, reflection, and quiet respect for those who never made it home.
Wishing you all a peaceful Memorial Day filled with presence, connection, and appreciation for the gifts of this day. ❤️

One of my wonderful clients surprised me with four beautiful books to add to my growing herbal library. What an incredible gift. It is so nice to feel the support and encouragement on this journey of healing and connection with nature.
Every single plant has a story to tell, and every page of these books offers an opportunity to deepen my understanding of the healing gifts that nature offers. I’m so excited to spend time learning from these new resources and weaving that knowledge into my ongoing journey.

As I’ve been deepening my relationship with plants and their healing properties, some truly beautiful opportunities have begun to unfold. A few months ago, I came across a post for the Western Massachusetts Herbal Symposium taking place this May. I felt immediately drawn to it, but also deeply nervous. I didn’t know anyone attending, none of my friends or family were interested in going, and I worried that I didn’t “know enough” yet.
But one day, I finally listened to the quiet supportive voice within me and registered anyway. After all, learning is the whole point.
I’m so grateful I did. Even through the rain, the Berkshires felt absolutely magical! The mist rolling over the hills, the endless trees, and that grounding earthy energy everywhere. Walking down toward the retreat center, surrounded by fog-covered hills and likeminded people, felt like stepping exactly where I was meant to be.
The classes were incredible. I learned about herbs for hormone support and pain management, made paper from plant fibers, and most meaningfully, explored the idea of re-indigenizing our relationship with plants, remembering that they are living beings deserving of reverence and respect.
As an added gift, I also ran into two of my favorite healers: an herbalist and fellow LMT, Emma of .ofearth and an herbalist and amazing yoga instructor, Jesse Rose of . It was so special to reconnect, even briefly. I left feeling deeply inspired, grateful, and even more connected to this path of relearning, remembering, and reconnecting with Mother Nature.
