2016 was a pivotal year for LL+Co. and my life as a mom, wife and self would never be the same. It was the year we decided to scale the business by purchasing and transforming 146 Main Street to how it stands today. We went out on the skinniest branch on a limb to build the salon and sometimes when I look back I still am amazed with how we did it. 2016 was the first of now many historic projects we’ve done and definitely what catapulted my obsession for architectural design. It was the year we fell in love with and curling hair with a wand. It was the year we rebranded from Larissa Lake Makeup Artist to Larissa Lake and Co. Salon & Spa and the year LL + Co. left its old space which is now the first home to my husband’s dream come true (talk about a full circle moment). Ten years ago I remember designing the floor plan for what I thought was my dream spa. If you told me then that 10 years later I’d be building a new spa walking distance from my salon, I’d think you were crazy. Regardless of the whirlwind life was that year, we still took time out for family time, celebrated love + life and got our babies their first cell phones (looking back I think they may have been a little too young lol). It was a busy year but a great year because we did it all together 💕
