Minnesota passed the voluntary registration bill (HF8952) for Massage Therapists and Asian Bodywork Therapists!

Certified MTs can now voluntarily register with the state as licensed practitioners, overriding city ordinances and allowing statewide practice.

This has been 30 years in the making! While it’s not mandatory state licensure yet, it’s a huge first step.

Effective January 1, 2028.
