There is something so beautiful about hearing a woman say, “I feel beautiful again.”

After I finished Emma’s lashes, she told me, “I just wanted to feel pretty again… and I feel beautiful again.” And I loved that moment.

But here’s the thing I hope every woman who walks through the doors of Sunflower Beauty knows:

The lashes didn’t make her beautiful. She already was. 🤍

Beauty comes in so many forms, and it can feel different from one season—or even one day—to the next. Some days we feel confident and radiant. Other days, we need a little help remembering the woman who is still underneath it all.

That’s what I love about this work.

Yes, I care deeply about creating beautiful lash extensions. I care about proper isolation, appropriate weight and placement, and protecting the integrity of your natural lashes. Healthy lashes will always matter more to me than simply making them fuller.

But I also care about you.

I want my lash bed—and Sunflower Beauty—to be a safe place to land. A place where you can talk, be quiet, rest, laugh, cry, or simply close your eyes for a while and receive.

Because beauty isn’t about becoming more pleasing to the world around you.

Sometimes it’s simply about coming home to yourself again. 🌻

The lashes are just the little reminder on the outside of something that was already there on the inside.

And welcoming Emma back into the lash babe fold was a pretty beautiful reminder for me, too.

May you always turn toward the light—and may you never forget how much of it you already carry. 🤍

Today was different. 🤍

There’s always something so satisfying about a brand-new set of lashes. That moment when your client opens her eyes for the first time, looks in the mirror, and gets to see the finished result.

But today, that moment hit me a little differently.

Maybe it was the week I’ve had. Maybe it was everything around me catching up with me. Maybe I just needed a reminder today of how much I genuinely love what I do.

She had never had lash extensions before, and when she opened her eyes… I was honestly almost brought to tears.

She was already beautiful. But seeing her eyes open up—bright, awake, soft—and then watching her look at herself in the mirror… she was absolutely stunning.

I see lashes every single day. I create them every single day. And I still love a beautiful set, of course. But every once in a while, there’s a moment that makes me really feel it again.

Today was one of those moments.

And maybe that’s why I love the black-and-white photo so much. It isn’t just a picture of lashes. It’s her seeing herself in them for the very first time.

To my newest lash babe, welcome to the fold. 🤍 I’m so glad I got to meet you, spend a very quiet little session with you today, and be part of your first lash experience.
