Color Me Kendra

This week was emotionally draining. I worked all day, every day for the last 7 days. Most days were 10–12 hour shifts. Somewhere between all the laughing & coloring, I also heard about friends/family dying, people losing jobs, leaving abusive relationships, losing their animals, having awful work weeks, getting broken up with, financial struggles. A LOT.

If you know me, you know I’m extremely empathetic. I feel things deeply& I wear my emotions on my sleeve.I had a horribly draining week emotionally. But I’d do it again. I love being a listening ear. I love that my chair can be a safe place to vent & cry.& as emotionally exhausting as the hard weeks can be, I can’t wait for the next week when I get to hear about the promotions, pregnancy announcements, engagements, new puppies, new friends, new lovers, new cars.. anything yall hope life brings.

I’m tired, but I’m happy to be tired from carrying a little bit of the weight y’all trusted me with. I love y’all so much. 🖤Everyone is going through something. Be gentle with each other.
