High Frequency ⚡️

The device that sounds intimidating but doesn’t hurt a bit!

What is it?

High Frequency is a popular skincare technique that is used to treat a variety of conditions, including acne management, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, and puffy or dark eyes.

When applied to the surface of the skin, a mild electrical current passes through the neon, or argon gas filled glass electrode, causing it to emit a subtle glow and buzzing noise. Depending on the inert gas that they are filled with, the electrodes produce either a neon red/orange or violet/blue light. Traditionally, acne prone skin is treated with violet and aging skin is treated with red!

I don’t want to start off by saying, as Estheticians we wear many hats! But dentist 👩🏻‍⚕️🪥 .. that’s a new one for me! 😄

I know we all wish we had a magic want and can make acne disappear overnight 🪄 but the truth is that the only way you will see progress is if you are consistent, patient, and committed!

Building trust with my clients is extremely important to me, even though I may only see you once or twice a month we are on the same journey which is getting your skin back to it’s healthy state and glowing! ✨

My angel client was suffering from some breakouts around her mouth/chin area, with a curated home care regimen, bi-weekly acne peels and some lifestyle changes we were able to see some pretty amazing progress!

We switched her to a Fluoride free toothpaste and saw some amazing results!

Fluoride is oxidative and inflammatory. This includes to the lymphatic system, where it can enter through the highly vascularized mucosa. Once there, it can interact with the cells of the lymphatic vessels, potentially causing congestion and, as a result, breakouts.

My favorite things to do in my free time is spend time with my Husband, cook yummy meals, weight lift (If I am not at the studio I am probably at the gym!) continue my education to be a better Esthetician than I was yesterday, and shop at HomeGoods 🛍️
