This journey has been one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences of my life. I’ve had the honor of connecting — and reconnecting — with so many incredible people along the way.

Here’s 5 things I’ve learned along the way

1. It’s a LOT more work than people think. You don’t just “do hair.” You clean, order supplies, handle money, market yourself, answer messages at night, and fix problems nobody else sees.

2. Not every client will come with you — and that’s okay. Some will, some won’t, and your right people will find you. It stings at first, but it’s part of growth.

3. You will second-guess yourself… a lot. Pricing, hours, policies, decor, decisions — there are days you wonder if you made the right move. That’s normal.

4. You’ll work harder, but feel freer. Long days still happen, but you’re building something that’s yours, which hits different.

5. Your confidence grows in ways you didn’t expect. Running your own suite forces you to level up — as a stylist, business owner, and person.
