Just thinking out loud today...

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how important it is to support our micro small businesses — the real mom-and-pop places. You know, the ones that aren’t the big “small businesses” making $500k to $3 million. Those guys can usually weather the storms. I’m talking about the true little guys.

It’s usually feast or famine for us. Any little economic shift — COVID, tariffs, government shutdowns, whatever — can hit us hard, and it’s tough to bounce back. I’m not getting into politics at all. I put my support behind what we have in place and try to see the best in it. No need to add to the negative noise.

Money is always an issue when you have big visions and dreams for how you want to shape your business. You have to adapt constantly. And honestly… I love it! If anyone knows me, I’m always busy with some new idea. It keeps my mind going and keeps me moving. I guess I work best in a little chaos.

I’m lucky and thankful — I have a full-time job that lets me take care of my family. So Weiss Barber Supply has never been about making tons of money. It’s always been about passion, about the people, and about the culture. I wish I could do it full-time! That’s what keeps me going after all these years.

Just wanted to share that. Be sure to look for your local small businesses before hitting up Amazon or big box stores. Keep the American dream alive!!
