What is on my mind is my birthday. First thank you all for the birthday wishes. I am truly blessed to have so many friends and family who thought of me to send a message. I am equally blessed to get to this particular birthday and doing my best to listen to doctors and my body to continue having as many birthdays as I can.

I have been trying to wait till my next Dr appointment to update my progress. However I decided my feelings on my birthday deserved a shout out. Another day older and deeper in debt. Not loading 16 tons though. I am doing well, day to day gaining more strength and endurance. I start my cardiac rehab Monday but I have a feeling I won't need to be attending long. I also see my cardiologist Monday, my goal is to be cleared to drive. I have enjoyed the chauffeuring and if you have driven me places I greatly appreciate it. You all could feel the frustration of not be able to go when you want. So although I will miss the chauffeur I look forward to go on my terms. I will post again after the pending appointments. Until then thank you all for the immense love and support. You are all loved and appreciated.

Update: saw my awesome surgeon Dr Grizzell. I have one very small spot that is seeping a little bit. Some alcohol swabs to keep it clean and he released me unless I need something. I am feeling pretty good. Been walking to end of the block and back. Following up with my new cardiologist Dr Hourani in a couple weeks. Thank you all for the prayers and great support. ❤️ you all! Just went primary care follow up and everything seems to be going well. I follow up with my surgeon in 2 weeks and my cardiologist in 4 weeks. Thank you all for the prayers, food, help, and encouragement. As I tick the boxes on my task list I will keep you posted on my progress. 🥰❤️

I wanted to share that I’ll be on a short hiatus from massage therapy as I recover from bypass surgery — about 12 weeks. This was a surprise pause, but it’s a necessary one so I can come back healthy and strong.
Thank you so much for all the love, prayers, and encouragement — it truly means the world to me. And don’t worry… many of you have made it very clear that retirement is not an option 😉 I fully agree.
I’ll be back as soon as my body allows and can’t wait to see you all again. 💛

Hello friends. My partner Terri Lees and I would like to create a networking group in the area to support quality massage in our area of the state. Terri Lees has a massage practice in NE Wichita. She is a massage educator and a certified CEU provider with NCBTMC. I have a massage practice in west Wichita. We have a passion and a higher calling. Regulations are just not in the works right now but we can make a difference. How about we start a group that meets every month and share experience, techniques, passions and maybe even learn to teach massage. Update 2: week 2 of recovery, it is amazing how slow recovery can be. I am improving and I hope to be ready for clients on January 14th. I want to thank you all for the support through this time. I have always known I have wonderful clients. This little setback has reminded me how much you all mean to me outside the massage session. The prayers and check-ins are much appreciated. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎅🤶🎄🍾🥂🎊

Update: getting my Sally hugs tonight. I'm recovery pretty well. Trying to embrace the slow. You all know that's very difficult for me. Hope your December is going well.

This is what can happen when kittens are given for free or in the hands of the wrong people. Each one painted a color with permanent markers (similar to the photo below) and used as bait for dog fights. People bet on the color of the cat who will survive the longest. This is common - and yes happens in a lot of places!
This is for public awareness and only by all of us advocating and discouraging free adoptions by ANYONE or ANY ORGANIZATION - can we make a dent in this problem.
Craigslist....etc..etc...

Well...this happened. I was trucking along and BAM appendicitis. Surgery today hopefully out tomorrow
