In the past 72 hours, there have been over 29 reported overdoses in Wichita. We urge everyone to exercise extreme caution. If you are using substances, please follow these critical safety tips:

1. Never Use Alone: Always have someone with you to assist in an emergency.
2. Have Naloxone Ready: Naloxone can reverse the effects of an overdose. Make sure it’s accessible.
3. Test Your Substances: Use testing strips to check for the presence of fentanyl and other harmful substances.
4. Start Slow: Use a small amount first to gauge the strength of the substance.

If an overdose occurs, follow these steps:
- Call 911 Immediately: Time is critical.
- Administer Naloxone: If you have it, use it right away.
- Stay with the Person: Monitor their condition and be ready to provide further assistance until help arrives.
