usted from learning to be a mom to infant twins. As time passed, I gained confidence in my abilities as a mother. Our financial concerns, though not eliminated, were somewhat eased. And I had time to get to know myself again. The years leading up to my job loss had been hectic, personally and professionally. After some reflection, I realized marriage and parenthood had changed my values radically, and my life had lost integrity. By that, I mean that I was no longer in alignment. My long-term goals – goals that were driving my daily actions – were not in line with my new core values. I discovered I wanted time with my family. I wanted to live more simply. To unplug and log off from some of this technology, so I could tune in and truly connect with loved ones. I needed to be healthy so I could actively enjoy our time together. I hoped to live a greener, more sustainable life, so my children could inherit a planet that would support them and eventually, their family. I began to make daily decisions to support these new values. I became more domestic, started crafting a bit, and learned about more complex household maintenance topics. I began to take long daily walks with the kids, getting us all out of the house and helping me to reach a healthy postpartum weight. I improved my cooking skills and committed to regular meal planning. I insisted on family dinners at the dining room table. I began to incorporate more whole ingredients into our meals, and I limited the amount of processed food we purchased. After the birth of my third son, I began to have significant health challenges. My energy levels were so low, many days I couldn't get out of bed. I struggled to get my kids to our regular activities. My body hurt, my hands shook, I was always dizzy, and I certainly wasn't able to be the mother I wanted to be. After a particularly scary episode in December, I began searching for solutions. Facing an alternative of maintenance drugs for the foreseeable future, I decided to give the Shaklee Vitalizer and Energizing Smoothies a try. Almost immediately, I noticed that the dizziness and shakiness were gone. Having tried other snack and protein options in the past with no effect, I was so excited to finally have relief. Within a week, I noticed my energy levels improving. My bad days become fewer and farther between, and my good days got even better. I was able to get out of bed with some s***k, and I no longer needed a three hour nap every afternoon. After a few weeks, I was able to resume our usual activities of going to the zoo and the science museum regularly.
