Let’s get into: The butterfly cut 🦋

This a heavily layered cut with bold face framing pieces. The entire front of the hair is cut at an angle that meets at the length. The way the hair is brought forward, allows for the back of the hair to remain longer while still having lots of movement internally. This cut is ideal for people with thick hair. It can be mimicked and adjusted for finer hair, but may have gaps in the font if the client doesn’t have proper density at the ends of the hair. If you do not like to see short hair around your shoulders this cut is not for you.

Who this cut is ideal for: I recommend this cut for clients with thick hair in the front, and whose sides (above the ear) grows as thick as the back. It can be completed with long and medium hair/ collar bone or longer (In my opinion.) It’s also ideal for clients who wear their hair curled, blown out, or naturally curly. Pin straight hair may appear choppy and crimps can fall flat around the face. This trendy cut can make the right candidate feel lighter, bold, and soften up the face.
