From Shampoo Stylist to Cosmetologist… Brooke Is Just Getting Started!

Brooke recently graduated from CEA’s 300-hour Shampoo Stylist Program, and her next stop is State Board testing. Once she passes and earns her license, she’s coming right back to CEA to continue her education in Cosmetology.

And this is where we LOVE the Shampoo Stylist Program.

Those 300 hours transfer into the 1,500-hour Cosmetology Program, leaving Brooke with 1,200 hours to complete. Even better, once she becomes a licensed Shampoo Stylist, she can begin working and building her clientele while continuing her education.

Brooke came to CEA with a passion for braiding, and y’all… she has done an AMAZING job. She brought the passion—we’re helping her add the education, technique, and professional skills to go with it.

We have a feeling that once word gets out about Brooke and those braids, people are going to be asking, “When can Brooke do my hair?”

We can't wait to get her back in the classroom for the next chapter.
First Shampoo Stylist. Next Cosmetologist. And all along the way… building a career.

YESTERDAY THE CEA STUDENT SALON WAS HOPPING!

We had community members coming through our doors, sitting in our students’ chairs, and giving them exactly what they need most — real hands-on experience.

And we just want to say THANK YOU!

Every person who comes into our Student Salon is helping our students practice their skills, build confidence, learn how to work with real clients, and become better beauty professionals.

CEA Student Salon Hours
Monday–Thursday | 11 AM–2 PM

Because our students must be finished and out of the school by 4:30 PM, we ask that you arrive by 2 PM. Depending on the service you’re requesting, this helps give our students enough time to take care of you without rushing.

We don’t take traditional appointments, but here’s a little CEA tip — call us the day you’re coming at 606-245-0978 and we’ll put your name on the books for that day!

Come support a student. Get a service. And know that while they’re making you look and feel good, you’re helping them get one step closer to their future.

Every day at Cosmetology Elite Academy, we're making memories. From the first day of school to the first haircut, the frustrations, the laughter, the friendships, and those unforgettable moments when a student realizes, "HEY, I CAN ACTUALLY DO THIS!"

And somewhere along the way, our little dream has become something so much bigger.

They say it takes a village, and we couldn't be prouder of the village we're part of!

We live in a community full of people who care about people. Every person who walks through our doors, trusts our students, shares our posts, or simply tells someone about CEA is helping us build something special.

Yes, we LOVE making you look and feel beautiful! But our purpose goes so much deeper than pretty hair and nails.

We're building confidence, teaching real-world skills, and preparing our students to walk out of CEA with an education they can be proud of and the foundation for a successful career in the beauty industry.

And while we're busy teaching them, they're teaching US a thing or two about determination, patience, and never giving up on a dream!

One day, we'll look back at these pictures and realize these weren't just ordinary school days. These were the days we were building something extraordinary.

To our students, our families, and our Williamsburg community, THANK YOU for being part of our story. We're going to cherish every bit of this journey.

Student Spotlight Alert: Nails by Kenzie

Kenzie came to CEA with one thing already figured out—she loves nails.

But loving something and learning the right way to do it are two different things. And that’s exactly what we’ve watched Kenzie do.
She has learned, practiced, made mistakes, tried again, and kept working until she got it right. And that may be one of our favorite things about her—Kenzie takes pride in her work. She doesn’t just want to get it done. She wants to get it right.

From practicing techniques to working on real clients, you can see the growth in every set.

And now… graduation isn’t very far away.
Soon, Kenzie will walk out of CEA and into the next chapter of her journey. Whether that means joining a salon, building a clientele of her own, or creating something we haven’t even imagined yet, we know one thing:
She’s going to do it with the same determination she brought into this classroom.

Kenzie, keep practicing. Keep learning. Keep taking pride in the little details.
You came in loving nails. You’re leaving knowing your craft.
And THAT is what CEA is all about.

WELL… LOOK WHO DID THE THING!

Today we get to officially say CONGRATULATIONS to Brooke and Raleigh — CEA Shampoo Stylist graduates!

They showed up. They put in the hours. They learned, practiced, probably had a few “what have I gotten myself into?” moments and THEY FINISHED!

But ladies, don’t get too comfortable with those certificates because we aren’t done yet. Next stop: STATE BOARD TESTING!
We know you’ve got this. Keep studying, keep believing in yourselves, and remember—you’ve already proven you can do hard things. Now it’s time to finish what you started and get that LICENSE!

We've watched them learn, grow, get frustrated, laugh, probably question a few life decisions, and keep pushing forward. And we couldn't be PROUDER of them!

Next stop? State Board testing and continuing their journey toward completing the full Cosmetology Program!

Now, don't think you're getting rid of us just yet, girls! You've still got plenty of time left with The Jens! And we know you secretly LOVE hanging out with us as much as we love having you here!

One thing we've learned around CEA is that when in doubt, just HOLLER JEN! One of us is bound to answer!

This isn't goodbye. It's just the next chapter, and lucky for us, we get to be part of that one, too!
