Sitting here in New York City getting ready to work backstage at Fashion Week, I’m having one of those moments where I just have to stop and take it all in. ❤️

After all these years behind the chair, owning Salon Allure, building an incredible team, continuing my education and constantly pushing myself to grow creatively… I get to say I’m working backstage at New York Fashion Week. That feels pretty surreal.

Just a few weeks ago, I was in Chicago training in advanced runway styling and preparing for this opportunity. Now I’m here, goodie bag in hand 😍, getting ready to work several shows this week alongside some incredibly talented people in this industry.

I’m excited. I’m nervous. I’m inspired. And most of all, I’m incredibly grateful.

One of the things I’ve always believed is that no matter how long you’ve been doing something, there is always more to learn. I never want to stop challenging myself, stepping outside of my comfort zone or finding new ways to become better at what I love.

And the best part? I get to bring everything I experience and learn this week back home to my Salon Allure family — my team and our amazing guests. ❤️
