Did you know before my husband and I found Unit 1 in the Brooks Building, we almost signed a terrifying, 7 year lease at a completely different location 😱 I was 100% sure that I was supposed to be there but ALL of the signs were saying to walk away. It would take thousands and thousands of dollars in renovations just to knock down walls and that’s not even including salon equipment. So.. we walked. I was devastated. I was ready to start a new journey and this roadblock was making that impossible.

Less than 1 week.. found a unit available at 18 South Water Street and told me to meet him there. I thought I was in a dream.. the most iconic, historic building downtown! I’d be one of the only salons in town with water views and surrounded by dozens of wedding venues. Most of you know it as the bridal suite used by my neighbors, The River Room. When I say this space was literally made for me, I’m not joking. We hardly had to add anything. A couple shampoo bowls, electric outlets, and decor. Moral of this story is...

✨ PATIENCE ✨ don’t rush into something when all of the signs are saying walk away. Trust your gut and most importantly, follow your heart. Accept that things can happen in a different order than what you have in your mind. Chances are when something doesn’t work right then, right there- God has something FAR more perfect in store for you and you just need to wait.
