SATURDAY CLIENTS!!

Heads up, I only have ONE Saturday left open (limited as well) for the rest of 2026.

Yes you read that right!

Please be aware that some of you may now have to book for Saturdays with me closing at 3pm now during the week.

Please be sure to keep booking as far as ahead as possible.

2027 is not yet open (unless you do have a planned surgery and need after care), but will be opening towards the end of August once I figure out my winter and spring schedule.

Hello my wonderful clients!! I hope everyone had a wonderful three day weekend for the holiday!

I have done some self reflection so far on my two weeks off and realized I push myself just a bit too much with my business. So with that said I will be tweaking my hours a bit.

Effective immediately I will be closing now at 3pm instead of 4pm Tuesday - Fridays. If you already have a booked appointment THESE WILL NOT BE CHANGED, but any new booked appointments will be reflecting the new hours during the week. My Saturday hours are remaining the same.

Thank you all for understanding!

Muscle twitching (called fasciculations) is very common and is usually harmless. It can happen in any muscle and may feel like a brief flutter, pulse, or small jump under the skin. Common causes include:

~Muscle fatigue after exercise or overuse
~Stress or anxiety, which can make nerves more excitable
~Too much caffeine or other stimulants
~Dehydration or an imbalance of electrolytes like magnesium or potassium
~Not getting enough sleep
~Certain medications or supplements

Muscle twitching is the result of a muscle fiber contracting without you intentionally telling it to.

HOWEVER:
Less commonly, persistent muscle twitching can be related to nerve irritation or medical conditions, especially if it occurs along with:

~Muscle weakness
~Muscle wasting (shrinking)
~Numbness or tingling
~Difficulty walking, speaking, or swallowing
~Twitching that becomes widespread and progressively worse

If your twitching is occasional and isn’t accompanied by these symptoms, it’s usually not a cause for concern. Staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, managing stress, and avoiding excessive caffeine often helps.

Cold before your period? πŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ₯Ά

Feeling cold before your period is generally caused by shifting hormone levels, specifically a drop in progesterone and estrogen. These sudden drops confuse your brain's thermostat (the hypothalamus) and cause blood vessels in your skin to constrict, resulting in chills, shivering, and cold hands or feet.

Feeling cold a few days before is part of the Period Flu!

~ Hormonal Shifts: After ovulation, progesterone raises your core body temperature. When your period approaches, these levels drop rapidly, creating a stark contrast that makes you feel suddenly cold.

~ Blood Flow Redistribution: Hormonal shifts can redirect blood circulation to the pelvic region to prepare for your period, leaving your extremities (hands and feet) with less circulation and feeling much colder.

~ β€œPeriod Flu” Inflammation: Chemical messengers called prostaglandins spike before your period to help your uterus shed its lining. These can trigger a mild, fever-like response or general malaise that often includes shivering and aches.

~ Iron Levels (Anemia): If your periods are heavy, a dip in iron before or during your cycle can impair your body's ability to transport oxygen, leading to chronic coldness. In other words eat a fat rare steak if you eat meat when preperiod.

Fun fact I FREEZE about 2/3 days before my period and then I have an internal burning rage a day before (lol). It’s so much fun being a woman….

Of course massage therapy helps greatly with any preperiod issues a woman may be having! Just let me know when you come in so we can see what modalities might work best for you!

Happy Father’s Day to My Stepdad!

Today I want to celebrate a man who may not have given me life, but who has made my life better in countless ways.

Being a stepdad isn’t always easy. It takes patience, understanding, sacrifice, and a whole lot of love. From the very beginning, you chose to be there. You chose to show up, to care, to support, and to love me as your own.

Thank you for the lessons you’ve taught me, the guidance you’ve given me, and the strength you’ve shown through both the good times and the difficult ones. Thank you for being someone I could count on, someone who listened, encouraged, protected, and believed in me even when I struggled to believe in myself. My stepdad showed me what it was like to run a business (hes been in the trade work for over 40 years!).

A father is not defined by blood. A father is someone who loves, sacrifices, teaches, and stays. You stepped into my life and filled a role that required courage, commitment, and a selfless heart. You didn’t just become part of the family, you helped make our family stronger.

Looking back, I realize how many moments, big and small, were shaped by your presence. The advice, the laughs, the support, the memories, and simply knowing you were there. Those things have left a lasting mark on my heart.

Thank you for loving me, supporting me, and choosing to be the father figure I needed. I am so grateful for everything you’ve done and for the person you are. I hope today reminds you just how appreciated, respected, and loved you truly are. Also thanks for loving my mom!! We are tough women to love in this family (lol).

Happy Father’s Day, Dad. Thank you for stepping up when you didn’t have to and loving me when you didn’t have to. I will always be grateful for the difference you’ve made in my life.
