2025 has brought me so much joy and so much growth.
My salon has grown faster than I ever imagined, and I’m endlessly grateful.

What people don’t always see is that this has been the hardest job I’ve ever had. I love being behind the chair, but building a business and stepping into leadership pushed me in ways I never expected.

Balancing motherhood, marriage, self care, and work life isn’t easy. Most days it feels impossible.

Watching my team grow, learn, build confidence, and choose to stand beside me is something I’ll never take for granted. Watching my daughter and my husband tell me how proud they are of me, keeps me going. That will always be a win.

This year came with highs and lows. Moments where I questioned if this path was really for me or if I was strong enough to keep going. And every time I doubted myself, God placed someone in my chair who reminded me of my why.

Recently someone asked me what success means to me, and I didn’t have an answer. That question stayed with me. Why couldn’t I see that I’m already living it?

Lately, I’ve been carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders, like so many of us. It feels heavy, confusing, even scary at times — especially raising a child in today’s world. I find myself thinking often about how we move forward, how we show up for one another, and what kind of example we’re setting.

My salon is what keeps me grounded. It’s not just a place where hair gets done — it’s a space that brings me joy and purpose, even on the hardest days when I wonder if I can keep going. And believe me, there are those days. But then there are also the days filled with laughter, connection, and the kind of conversations that remind me why this space matters.

I want Almost Famous to always be more than a salon. I want it to be a safe place for anyone who walks through the door. A place where you can find encouragement, a listening ear, or a lighthearted gossip sesh about The Summer I Turned Pretty. A place where we can talk about the things that scare us, or laugh until our stomachs hurt, or simply take a moment to feel seen.

We need each other — emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Whether you’re a parent or not, we all need support. We need kindness. We need grace. We never know what someone else is walking through, and the smallest act of love can change someone’s entire day.

I’ll be honest — some of the things I’ve seen lately in the world have broken my heart. It’s easy to slip into a dark place, to lose hope, to feel like nothing will change. But I refuse to believe that. I believe we can do better. I believe in a new tomorrow. I believe that things have to get better, because they must.

To everyone who has come into AF and trusted us — thank you. Thank you for reminding me that people are still good, that connection is still possible, and that even in the heaviness, there is light. This community means more to me than I can ever put into words.
