Bridal Etiquette :
While brides are in the makeup chair it is the time for her to relax and enjoy 🤍

Interruptions have become the norm - the bride in order to be polite will move and turn to look at the person who has approached therefore causing a slight delay

Which is fine if it was just once or twice however it can be excessive.
I want to ask others to be mindful to not interrupt and allow the bride to have makeup done when you work a wedding 🤍

Practice patience and courtesy while the bride is having beauty services 🤍

A simple pause from others allows artists and brides to enjoy their scheduled time together 🤍

I want nothing more than to be peaceful calm and supportive to every bride who sits with me rather than absorbing delays / rushing with a deep breath and re focusing 🤍

When working ,Artists have a flow that requires focus , once we’ve had 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 interruptions it becomes something we absorb that we shouldn’t have to when we are there to make the bride look her very best🤍

I’m speaking for all artists 🤍

Bringing awareness because it matters and we all want to be mindful of one another 🤍

All the trend names are so funny to me , I’ve been doing this glam forever it’s just neutrals to me 😃

Well I’m not chat gpt but I have thoughts that I can organize well enough to jot them down

And you may not find me in a video often but I can show my face on here sometimes when I have a good makeup day 🤍

And one more thought in addition to these
The gifting time frame for the bride

Make sure brides receive gifts before or after makeup time lines so that way she’s on time for her wedding 🤍

Lately it’s every wedding and I love the gifts they are amazing and so thoughtful - we sometimes run 20 min or longer behind well we don’t really run behind but the makeup artist has to rush rush because that 20 minutes isn’t built into the time line.

Gift opening before or after makeup time line to avoid any delays

Love the Chocolate Brown or Black eye liner with more of a bronzey contour and softer blush 🤍

I wonder if we might look back in a few years and wish we didn’t go over the top with blush …….. just thinking about trends and noticing after 30 years of doing makeup, this look on my bride and her mom is timeless.
