I've worked at Freedom Salon for the past 4.5 years, and today is my last day working before I open my Studio 🌿
I loved working at Freedom Salon, and I couldn't have asked for a better salon owner!
Hunter has supported me as I built my clientele and grew my business. Its bittersweet to be leaving, but this is the next step in my career, and I couldn't be more excited!
Here's to a new chapter, new challenges, and more opportunities! 🥂

One of the things that has kept me living in Wilmington is the community.
The people here really know how to pull together, uplift, and support each other! From the wedding and hair industry, to everyday friendships. Maybe it's just me getting older, but I definitely value this community more and more every day. 🌿

Alright y'all, here we go again: another COVID-19 update:
With the new Delta strain, and covid cases rising, I have been wearing a mask while working in the salon. 😷
I am fully vaccinated. But I want to be extra careful for YOU! Getting covid means I would be out of the salon for 14 days, and I don't think any of us want that to happen! ✂️
At this time, if you are vaccinated, I am not requiring my guests to wear masks.
Just be careful and stay safe, for everyone's sake! ✌🏼

Maybe we can get a couple of good hair days in before it rains again, what do you think? 😅🙃

Jasmine Kay Hair Co. opens in 15 days!! 🎉🌈
Opening my own studio has been a vision of mine for the past two years. And watching everything finally coming together is a little surreal.
There are many people in my life doubt or have doubted my career choice.
Saying, 'You're just a hairstylist'
Or 'When you stop doing hair' and move on to a 'real career.'
There have been people who have, unintentionally, held me back from growing as a stylist.
At one point in time, these things made me question MYSELF as a stylist.
All this to say that I knew in my bones that this was my path in life and that I'm doing to be damn good at it! 💪🏼✂️🎨
Now, I am extremely grateful to have support from my friends, family, clients, and my biggest supporter of all, my partner
For the good ones and the bad, everyone who played a part in my journey as a hairstylist has made me into the bad ass boss babe that I am today. And for that, I am grateful. ..And I'm not going to stop growing now!
