Any other stylists or service people feel like everyone is falling apart and you just wanna fix it but you have no idea what to do? Yeah, that’s me today.

It’s just been on my mind today to remind you that if you’ve sat in this little room with me, I genuinely care about you and think of you all the time. I’m so grateful that I get to spend my work days essentially spending time with my friends and chatting and making them feel good. If you have something sad going on, it doesn’t bother me if you “trauma dump” on me. It’s an honor, and I’m so glad that I got to be there for you and that you trusted me to open your heart in those moments. I hear from so many people who absolutely hate their jobs- and although what I do has some drawbacks, the good always outweighs the bad. I just want to say thank you. 💜

Now, the real question is- which one has extensions?!

This lovely guest came in 4 weeks ago, and it was the day before her birthday. After our consultation, I proceeded to apply and process her color for 35 minutes as I do with all of my other root touch up guests with no issue…. Until I shampooed her and it was as if I’d only left the color on for 5 minutes. 😅 I was SHOCKED. In my 20 year career I’ve NEVER seen such resistant grey.😅 She seemed disheartened, and told me her grey didn’t cover with previous stylists. It’s been an ongoing problem for her and she couldn’t really figure out why. Once, a stylist not only still charged her full price for almost no grey coverage, she told her to buy root touch up spray to cover the grey!!!😮 My jaw hit the floor. Not in my chair, honey! Thankfully, I knew what to do, and I stayed late to re-do the color to give her the result she deserved. Did she think I suck as a hair stylist because I didn’t get it right the first time? No. She gave me grace and thanked me for dedicating the time to make her happy. The after here is after her second appointment with me. In my business I value trust and transparency, and giving you honest expectations and delivering your expected result is part of what it’s all about for me. •Fun fact: 80% of my extensions guests only have one row for volume and a bit of length. For my guests, they don’t want super long, attention grabbing hair. They only want the attention because it looks pretty and natural.

I haven’t shared anything personal here in a while so I figured, why not now?
1- My good friend Tanya hosted brunch on Saturday in her newly remodeled kitchen and it was amazing! Pictured with me is a Melon Margarita she made. So good!
2- My dog Clark has had several bouts of pancreatitis in the last few months so I’ve been busy cuddling him and making homemade dog food to help his tummy!
3- I was working on a recent crochet project and of course my cat Ruby can’t stand not being in my lap when I’m crocheting.
Also, I’ve had the new T Swift album on repeat. This is one of my favorite songs on it!
How are all of you!?

Believe it or not- we just did a grey coverage root color and style today. No toner, no highlights. Not even purple shampoo. Angela has regular color maintenance appointments every 4 weeks, and we add some highlights every 2nd or 3rd time. Your appointment doesn’t always have to be fancy or complicated to give you a beautiful result. 💜
