Acne is it curable?

This is such a complicated question & topic, so let’s talk about.

In my experience of working with mild, moderate, & severe acne as a licensed esthetician of three years. I would tell you it’s manageable and let me explain why I say this over saying it’s curable. Because acne can come back depending on our hormonal levels, menstrual cycle, and underlying health conditions. Such as endometriosis, PCOS, and what I’ve seen a lot more recently melasma from pregnancy.

No treatment, even advanced treatments can be an end all fix all. Consistency is what matters most, and that’s not just treatment it’s home care. It really matters that you are using the right active ingredients depending on what acne you have.

This specific client has been coming to me for two years now. Because she is a teen our hormone and cortisol levels are higher during this age of life. Therefore we’ve seen it go away, come back, and go away again. I want to be 100% honest and transparent about acne. That way no one feels alone because this is one of the hardest skin conditions to treat. It affects confidence, big events, and mental health overall.
