This will ensure smooth skin and a primed surface for the tanning solution to cohere to. Pay particular attention to your hands, elbows, knees and feet as these are places more apt to over-develop. Any waxing should be done 24-48 hours before your sunless session. In common dry skin areas such as the hands, elbows, knees and feet, apply a moderate amount of moisturizer up to 2 hours before your sunless tan application. Do not apply oils, oil-based or alcohol-based products at any time prior to or after your sunless tan unless product specifically states that it is acceptable for pre-suless session use. Do not apply deodorant prior to your session. Remove any makeup before your sunless tan. Solution will stain fabrics. Bring dark, loose-fitting clothing and flip flops or sandals to wear after your tan session until your first shower. How do I prep for my spray tan? We recommend exfoliating, shaving, and waxing about 12-24 hours prior to your session.If the exfoliation is done to close to the appointment your skin could still be irritated and affect your spray tan results. Make sure your skin is free of makeup, lotions, deodorants, and perfumes. Clean skin is always the best. What if I don't have time to exfoliate before my session? We offer and upgraded service which has a no water required mitt that gently polishes , primes, and balances the skins PH immediately prior to your session while maximizing your sunless color results. What should I wear during and after my session? During: You can wear a bikini, a one piece bathing suit or your birthday suit, whatever makes you feel comfortable! Something that creates minimal tan lines is best. Hair caps will be provided. After: Dark loose fitting clothing and flip flops is best. How long after my session can I shower? A full 5-7 hours is recommended before showering to get the best results (your tan will still be developing the next day) although you can shower as soon as 8 hours after your spray tan. A simple rinse with water only is best for your first post shower rinse. How long will my spray tan last? Typically your tan will last anywhere from 7-10 days. Make sure to stay hydrated and continue to moisturize after your first post tan rinse. Dry and dehydrated skin will shorten the life of your spray tan. You should avoid the following:
* Loofahs
* Shaving
* Waxing
* Excessive Sweating
* Abrasive Soaps
What is DHA? DHA stands for Dihydroxyacetone. DHA is the primary ingredient in sunless tanning solution. It is often derived from plant sources. DHA does not make your skin darker in pigmentation. DHA reacts with your outermost layer of skin that gives a darkening affect which creates your sunless tan. Is it safe? Our solutions are non-toxic, paraben free, gluten free, and 100% vegan. Clients with health risks such as advanced allergies, pregnancy, respiratory problems, or diabetics should consult their physician prior to spray tanning. Does your spray tan solution prevent sunburn? No! Our products do not contain sunscreen and does not prevent against sunburn. You will still need to apply sunscreen when exposed to the sun.
