So here is a little story about me and how I started grooming. I actually waitressed for about 6-7 yrs before I discovered that dog grooming was my thing. I've always loved animals when I was little I wanted to be a cartoonist or a vet haha. I actually started as a volunteer to actually see if this was something I would like to do. I worked for a few months as a volunteer. After working as a bather for about 6-7 months I decided I wanted to learn how to groom. I have always been pretty crafty/artsy drawing wise/ good with my hands. So I started grooming family dogs then friends and then I was slowly introduced to customers dogs. People that were okay with a beginner learning. Sharon my boss and a few groomers that worked at best friends at the time all took time out of there days to train me and show me exactly the right way. I have done my research whether it be google or books, or even professional videos. I have been to seminars which are my absolute favorite! Who doesn't love learning new techniques. I started at best friends in 2012 I believe September. So I have been doing this awhile now. I love it and I can NOT see myself doing anything else but this. I love each dog as if it were my own. In my eyes they are all my babies. So that's it that's my starting story!
