I discovered my passion for makeup as a teenager when I would spend my spare time making my girlfriends beautiful. After graduating highschool, I left a promising future as Assistant Manager of Hot Dog On A Stick and accepted a position with MAC Cosmetics. There I received formal training, along with hands-on experience, and launched my career as a professional makeup artist. Today, almost 10 years later, I still love doing makeup for clients as much as that teenage girl did for her friends. Many makeup artists get their ideas from fashion magazines, but my inspiration often comes from a creatively applied mud facial worn by a fellow competitor at a Spartan Race, or an avant garde Crayola art piece that my toddler sketched on our living room wall. Most often, however, I am inspired by my subjects own natural beauty which I simply accentuate, making her look and feel the best that she can be. When I'm not doing makeup I spend time with my husband and son, traveling, cooking, working out, playing hide-and-seek, watching Sesame Street, and hoping that they both fall asleep early so I can read a good book.
