My postpartum brain got me and I’m thankful soap is forgiving.
I made a large batch of my unscented tallow soap and while I doubled my large batch, I didn’t double my lye 🤦🏼‍♀️ My husband made me a soap calculated for my recipe so I can resize it as needed but I have my normal recipe memorized and I guess that took over.

My soap came out soft and didn’t harden at all in the middle. Yikes, I was hoping I didn’t just waste all that tallow. It took me 3 days to figure out that I didn’t double it but luckily you can cut up soap and rebatch it and add whatever you forgot.

While this batch isn’t pretty, it still functions just the same!

A mistake made a fun learning experience.

I’m hoping the lions mane tincture I’m making comes through for my brain 😅

Update I think today will be my last day at the market. My son was very upset for the first time about me going to the market and I really need to get some good rides on Captain.

I’ll move my sale online and post when it’s on the website.

Yoohooooo big summer blow out!

I’m dropping my left over soap prices to $5 or below on any soap that isn’t my permanent variety of soaps (ones I always make).

I will not be at the Wi******er/Clark County Farmers' Market next week (Sept 12) and may or may not be here the 26th as I’m trying to get Captain out doing things before the Thoroughbred Makeover.

Hi I’m Liz!

Two Pond Farm actually started with me re starting off the track thoroughbreds.
A big changed happened when I got pregnant. I couldn’t train green horses anymore and needed a new hobby. We were sending our cow to slaughter a month before my first son was born and the idea of starting making tallow skincare came.
I wanted to make sure I used natural non toxic products on my son as much as possible.

Two Pond Farm just started with a tallow balm now I have everything from balms to blush sticks. It’s been so fun experimenting.
I’ve learned a lot, messed up a lot, surprised myself a lot.
I used to be such a shy person (and still secretly am) but growing Two Pond Farm made me grow as a person too! I love talking to everyone at the farmers market!

I still suck at social media and writing posts so I appreciate everyone being here even though my page isn’t interesting. Hopefully my brain will let me start posting again 😭

Tomorrow is Kid's Day at Wi******er/Clark County Farmers' Market !

The farmers' market gives out $5 to the first 300 kids to spend at the market!
I'll have:
$5 animal shaped soaps
$5 trinket painting kits (so many options on what you can paint!)
A free bingo scavenger hunt where you get a free soap at the end!!

There will be a ton to do at the market tomorrow!

But I squeezed in a little extra time to make these adorable painting kits for Kids Day at Wi******er/Clark County Farmers' Market on August 15!
