A lot of things are said in the Coven break room. Very few of them should probably be repeated publicly, but here we are.
We work hard, we laugh harder, and we genuinely enjoy the people we spend our days with.
If you’re in the beauty industry and can’t say the same about your workplace, maybe it’s time we had a conversation.

Today, someone left my salon a one-star review without ever receiving a service.
And while I know criticism comes with owning a business, sometimes it genuinely hurts.
I’ve spent years building something I love, creating jobs, and trying to do right by the people who walk through our doors. I’m not perfect, and neither are my businesses.
But behind the business name is a real person with real feelings, a family, responsibilities, and struggles you know nothing about.
Accountability is important. So is kindness.
Sometimes I think people forget that small business owners are human, too. And some days, this s**t is really hard. To the people who always show up for us we are forever grateful, into the team who believes in me I love you to the moon. Coven Salon Wi******er

We’ll wait on hold with a giant company for 45 minutes, get transferred three times, and somehow accept that as part of life.
But when it comes to small businesses, sometimes one mistake feels much bigger.
And listen, supporting small doesn’t mean accepting bad service. You should expect businesses to care, communicate and make things right.
But there’s a difference between bad service and a human making a mistake.
Most small businesses are made up of real people who care A LOT about getting it right.
Maybe we can hold businesses accountable and still leave a little room for being human. Both can exist.
