40 in 40 days! The official countdown to 40 begins. How is that even possible?! I certainly don’t “feel 40” not that I even know what that’s supposed to feel like. But I definitely don’t feel the number matches my inner age. Mentally I feel calm, secure and excited! There truly is something magical as you get older where you feel secure and comfortable in who you are. You know you’ve made the right decisions to get you to this place, even with bumps along the way. They shape you, they help you, they teach you. I am a forever student in this life. Ready for a new decade and all it has to offer!

I started this page 10 years ago at the height of IG, when perfectly curated feeds was a must. When you “weren’t” supposed to combine personal and professional. But now those “rules” have changed, or have they?

Either way, I’m changing them; and will start incorporating all aspects of my life here. Hence the name change. Caitlindoescolor was my identity for the last 10 years, but Caitlin Lozano is who I am. And I am more than color. I am a hairstylist, mentor, salon owner, bodybuilder, and individual.

I’ve been working on a personal rebrand for over a year, but was scared to pull the trigger. I finally realized who cares! Some people won’t even notice and some might hate it. And some have been asking for more of the other parts of my life. So here it is! This year I will continue to share hair, but I’ve decided to start mixing in more personal and day to day aspects of life and experiences. Along with my passion for fitness and bodybuilding. The millennial in me will still continue to curated a beautiful feed, but it won’t all be just hair. Enjoy!

Being your own motivation is a super power! Sometimes we need outside motivation, but when you know you’re capable of achieving what you set out to achieve, it’s a power and motivation no one can take away!

I encourage everyone to be their own motivation, don’t let the outside noise be your deciding fate. Be your own fate!

Growing up, I always knew I was different. I observed a lot as a child, I never liked to participate in the activities. I was perfectly content watching and observing, that was fun for me (still is). You can learn a lot from watching and observing.

As I entered the hair industry, I knew my life long observations would serve me well. I see things that others don’t. The smallest details make the biggest difference, good or bad. I have an eye for detail and perfection, and a mind of creativity. Making me your perfect hairstylist.

I’m doing your hair in my head all the time, trying new color combinations, foil placements, layers, lengths…you name it. I’m thinking it up in my head and have done it a million times already. If only you could see snaps shots of my brain and how it works.
