Hi all! I’m writing this at 3am because, you know…baby, but I keep meaning to put up a maternity leave update and some of y’all have beat me to the punch! I kept my return open ended because I was assuming that the transition from 2 to 3 kids would be a bit of an a$$ kicker and it turns out that hunch was correct 🙃 I am admittedly very fortunate that my husband is able and willing to pick up extra shifts to carry us financially right now so I can focus on raising the kids for the time being. That being said I am continuing my break from hair through the winter and will reevaluate closer to spring. I have a tendency to over explain and am a (attempting to recover) people pleaser lol so right now I feel a pull to justify every single reason why it feels completely overwhelming to run a business with 3 under 4 but I’m *trying* to keep this from being too long winded. I know this leaves a lot of you way overdue for your hair or just now needing to find a replacement so please text me individually for formulas or referrals. I *hate* disappointing people and I struggled with coming to this conclusion, but I have to focus on my family right now and with a crazy fire schedule and 3 little kids the ability to work at the capacity I was just isn’t there in this stage. I love and appreciate you all and please message me with any questions and thank you for hanging in there all these years while I build my little family 🤍🤍🤍

The time has come to hang up my apron and finish preparing and resting before this little boy joins our family! 🤍 At this point I am not positive how long of a leave I will take or exactly what my schedule will look like when I return - we are in a season of needing flexibility and are constantly reevaluating where my work fits in around our crazy fire schedule life with 3 kids 4 and under 🙃 So at this point I am telling clients to feel free to reach out to me (so I don’t forget to reach out to you) after the holidays in January or February and by then I will have a better idea of when and how I will be returning. Hey everyone! I am officially on maternity leave 💙 I planned on working a little bit longer through this week but this pregnancy has been way harder physically than it was with Max and along with a couple visits to labor triage for early labor signs it was time to call it. I was a little overly ambitious thinking I should work through 39 weeks standing on my feet 😅 I’ll be spending the remainder of my time with Marc and Max before he’s born and soaking up these last days as a family of three. If I didn’t make it to your hair appt I’m truly sorry and look forward seeing you after leave! At this point I’m planning on taking off at least the remainder of June through August and should be rebooking for some time in September, so if you are an existing client reach out to me in August and I’ll have a better start date lined up! And if I didn’t send you a referral list message me and I’ll send it to you! Thank you all for your support and care and understanding and I hope you have a wonderful summer! 💙
