I’m now a certified modern cupping therapy practitioner! Soon, I’ll be offering 30+ minute sessions for scar tissue work. It’s recommended to do this in a series (2 sessions per week for 4-6 weeks) for best results in reducing the appearance of the scar. But you’ll feel and see the difference in just one session!

You can see me here getting a large scar worked on (notice the fresh blood and lymph flow come to the surface, but them immediately dissipate- cupping doesn’t necessarily mean you leave with lots of marks). I had a little “pouch” above my scar, but by breaking up the scar tissue and doing some lymphatic drainage, my scar was immediately softer and the next morning my stomach pouch was nearly flat! The scar was blocking my natural lymph from draining.

Myofascial cupping changed my life, after a minor shoulder injury left me in constant discomfort for months. After a 90 minute massage session with cupping, I left with zero pain, and a fire in my belly to learn this modality and bring it to my clients. I took a basic cupping class during Covid and nearly every client incorporates it in their sessions with me.

I’m currently in the middle of a 4 day continuing education course where I will leave with a full certification in Modern Cupping Therapy (MCT). We’ve completed cupping training for the ENTIRE body (that dimple in the cup is a small adhesion on my leg)! We continue today with Therapeutic cupping for lymph drainage, and MCT for pathology and scar tissue. Stay tuned!

Hello! I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Karen and I have spent the majority of my life growing up and living in Vermont. I am a Nevada licensed and Vermont certified massage therapist, with over 1,200 hours of training and 18 years of experience. One aspect of being a massage therapist that I enjoy most is customizing each client’s session to their individual needs, in order to help them leave relaxed, with more mobility, and reduced discomfort. I have training in several massage modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Cupping, Thai, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and Reiki, among others.

I am a recent breast cancer survivor, and plan to expand my practice to include lymphatic drainage massage and oncology massage, after completing further continuing education.
