This week we should pay tribute to Leon Arnaud, born in Lyon, France in 1904. He composed "Bugler's Dream", which has been used as the theme by television networks presenting the Olympic Games in the United States since 1964. Much of his life was spent composing and arranging music for some of the greatest films of Hollywood.
In 1980, Arnaud left Hollywood and retired to Yadkin County, North Carolina. His wife, Faye Brooks Arnaud, was a native of the area. He died in 1991 and is buried at Asbury United Methodist Church in Hamptonville, North Carolina.

Get to know Dearica Hamby as she heads to Paris 2024 Following the unfortunate ACL injury to her Los Angeles Sparks’ teammate, rookie Cameron Brink, a vacancy opened on Team USA’s women’s 3x3 basketball team and Dearica Hamby has been selected to fill the void in hopes of helping the United States win a second-consecutive gold medal.

Our Story
Established on the campus of Wake Forest University in 1961, the WFU Barber Shop is a traditional man’s barber shop. We specialize in all haircuts for males of all ages. Although most of our customers are students, faculty and staff, we are open to the public. In June, 2018 we moved to a newly location on the campus. Come our new shop located now in Kitchin Dorm #007 directly across the street from the Sutton Center and Reynolds Gym.
