Far too many parents are more concerned with their children making the team than making the Kingdom.

We’ll rearrange our schedules for practice, games, birthday parties, vacations, and eating out. We’ll drive hundreds of miles for a tournament without thinking twice.

But church?

Sometimes it’s the first thing we cancel.

Your children don’t just need you.

They need youth pastors who will remind them they’re loved when the world tells them otherwise.

They need godly adults who know their names, celebrate their victories, and notice when they’re hurting.

They need friends who love Jesus.

And they need to sit under God’s Word week after week until it becomes the foundation beneath their feet.

God never intended for parents to disciple their children alone. He created the church so we’d raise the next generation together.

One day our children will leave our homes. My prayer is that when they do, they won’t just know how to throw a baseball, swing a golf club, solve an algebra problem, or earn a paycheck…

They’ll know Jesus.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

If I were a cat lol

My daughter gave me a tomato at lunch and I put it in my pocketbook and forgot about it.It went to church with me tonite lol I got to wondering what I did with that tomato and remembered it was in my pocketbook and thankfully it wasn't squished.That would've been a mess.First time I ever took a mater to church lol

Remember my client Jessie Smitherman's family.She passed away Sunday on my birthday.I didn't think I'd know anyone at the funeral besides her family but I forgot they owned smithermans oil co or something like that and there was some connection with quality oil where my sister worked.So I saw a lady my sister worked with.Then a husband and wife from Mt Bethel where I used to go to church then found out they knew my sister too.Then I saw the guy who owned the hardware store when I first moved to East Bend years ago.Hes somehow kin to Jessie.I said hey,I told Jessie that the whole time I've been in yadkin county you are the only person who ever invited me to church.I said I'm saved but thankyou for doing that.She had a beautiful funeral but please keep her husband Jimmy especially in your prayers.
