HOW TO LAY EFFECTIVE BIG CLEANUP STRIPS -
1. Make sure you pick up the adequate amount of wax on your stick.
2. PRESSURE. PRESSURE. PRESSURE. You want to make sure you push that wax from one side to the other so if you’re not using the proper amount of pressure, you will not be able to push that wax as much as you need to for this strip.
3. Make sure you are holding the stick perpendicular to the skin and that it remains that way the ENTIRE time you are laying the strip. If you flatten the stick, it’s impossible to lay a huge strip.
4. Create a lip at the end of the strip that allows you to properly grip it so that you’re not picking at the strip to lift it thus hurting your client.
5. Quickly scan the strip to make sure the thickness is even throughout so it all sets at the same time.
*Pro tip: I pull this strip off rather immediately so it doesn’t break. This is dependent on temperature and humidity of room, coarseness of hair, thickness of strip, etc.

A v. small amount of pinpoint bleeding is totally normal, especially after your first wax or if you haven’t been waxed in a long time. It’s actually a good sign; just means the hair is being pulled from the root and doing this over time leads to hair that grows back thinner, finer and softer. 😌
