3 Things I Wish I Knew Before Becoming a PMU Artist ✨
If I could go back to the beginning of my PMU career, these are the 3 things I wish someone had taught me from day one:
1. Technique is only part of becoming successful.
Beautiful work matters, but so do consultations, photography, pricing, client experience, marketing, and knowing how to confidently sell your services.
2. Taking more classes doesn’t automatically make you better.
I spent years learning from different artists and collecting certifications. What creates real confidence is understanding the why behind the technique and having a system you can repeat on every client.
3. The right training can save you YEARS of trial and error.
You don’t need to figure everything out alone. You need someone who has already made the mistakes, worked on hundreds of different faces, and can teach you what actually works in the real world.
After 15+ years in permanent makeup, I’ve built my training around everything I wish I had when I started — not just how to create beautiful permanent makeup, but how to become a confident and booked PMU artist.

Today, I feel especially grateful to call the United States my home.
Moving here was one of the biggest decisions of my life, and this country has given me opportunities I could only dream of—the chance to build a life, follow my passion, and create my business doing what I love every day.
I never take these opportunities for granted. I am thankful for the freedom to pursue my dreams, the incredible people I’ve met along the way, and the amazing clients who have supported my journey.
